In dialogue with the performance artist New Kyd, CHANTS D'AMOUR searches for possible translations of the radical imaginative formations of George Jackson's prison letters, departing from the exchange between Jacques Derrida and Jean Genet in the context of the publication of Jackson's letters in 1971. In doing so, the historical constellation becomes a point of departure to work through the diverse limitations and aporias that inform their own personal and artistic encounter.
